Exp/Degree: BBA-McMurry University, Abilene, TX Plans for the Future: Continue to spend 3 or 4 days a week in the gym, enjoy spending time with the grandsons, and travel more. Occupation/Employer/Military Service: I found myself unable to be hired after graduation because of "1-A" classsification. The Army National Guard offered the best solution for the times. I had a wife of less than one year to support. Virtually, I was self-employed for most of my career and owned three different companies. My experience covers Finance, Insurance, Sales, Advertising, Promoting and Influencing Congressional Lobbyist for Small Businesses. "THE REAL STORY" Married or Single: Take your pick. I was married 25 years, 1 month, 14 days. The experience of dealing with the financial world and thousands of people has given me an insight into life. My business card should include "philosopher" and definitely "computer novice." My business card actually says: Sales--Grand Parenting--Wine Making. It has been an amazing fifty and there is more fun out there to be had! Something in the last 50 that would surprise you: I became a traveling salesman and made some money doing it. While vacationing in Scandinavia, I slept in the owner's cabin on a cruise ship from Oslo, Norway to Copenhagen, Denmark. From Wendell: The delights of my life are two daughters, four grandsons, and two schnauzers. If I had known then what I know now, I would have done exactly the same thing--- It has been a great experience. |

Liska Exp/Degree: 45 years in Banking Plans for the Future: Travel - Golf - Visit Friends and Family Occupation/Employer/Military Service: Retired in February of 2007 after 36 years of service from Bank of America. The bank had gone through various name changes and I worked in diffferent departments and served as a Baking Officer in the Commercial Loan Servicing Department at the time of retirement. From Barbara: Married to Stanley for 48 years in August of this year. Moved to Ennis, Texas in 1967 when Stanley went to work for his father in the family business - The Ennis Meat Market & Sausage Factory. Stanley purchased the Market in 1974 and retired in 2005 after closing the doors. We have three wonderful children, Michael Paul Liska, Thomas Joseph Liska and Rhonda Kathryn Liska. Mike and his wife, Nannette graduated from Texas A&M University. He is currently a Banking Officer in Dallas, TX. They have three children, Paul, Rusty and Sarah who also all graduated from Texas A&M University. Paul is recently married to Jessica who is also an Aggie. Tommy (T-Bone) graduated from Texas A&M University and is married to Debbie. He has been a sales rep for a major paper company in Dallas, TX for over 20 years. They have one daughter, Abby, who is in the 7th grade and is involved in sports in school and also on a select level. Rhonda graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington while working full-time but regrets not attending Texas A&M. She has a Legal Assistant Certification and is currently self-employed as a Certified Petroleum Landman working in various states for Oil & Gas Companies. |
