Our Golden Reunion in August of 2007 has come and gone.  But that doesn’t mean the end of making updates to your information here in the Classmates section.  If you haven’t sent us your  “now” photo or personal bio you can still do it by sending it to one of our talented web masters, Kay Jernigan Watson or Rossanna Hamilton Hays.  For those of you who want to add or update any of your information, please send that information as well.  Your classmates would love to read about what’s happening in your life.

Occupation:  Maintenance Worker
Marital Status:  Married
No. of Children:  3
Spouse's Name:  Judi Bugg
Occupation/Employer/Military Service:
I was a mechanic in the Army from 1962 – 1964, stationed in North and South Carolina and spent the last part in Arkansas. I came out as a Spec 4 only because I taped and sheet rocked the Capitan’s office.
Something in the last 50 that would surprise you:
Married three times. I have a son who lives in IL. from the first marriage. Survived the 2nd wife. I’ve been married for almost 40 years to the 3rd one. Judi and I have a daughter and a son. Because Mrs. Chew changed the way she graded I graduated and went to Chicago, IL to be a sheet rocker (you don’t have to spell or write to be one). In 1973, we moved to Nevada were I continued to sheet rock until I retired with thirty-five years total in the carpenters union. Then I went to work as a maintenance man for the last fourteen years. In Nevada I was part of the group that started the Carson City Mounted Sheriff’s Posse. I did this for eleven years, our job was to go after escaped convicts (which we lucked out and didn’t catch any) and searched for missing people. I belonged to a gymkhana club while my kids where growing up. I was even vice president that was a fancy word for being the head grunt. The last twenty years, my family and I have belonged to the Pony Express re-ride. We reenact the Pony Express by carrying the mail from St. Joe to Sacramento. I’m only responsible for four miles of that distance.
From Ernest:
My son Don (47) is a warehouse manager with a lot of people under him. He has three kids. My daughter Dawn (39) works for the State of Nevada and is the office manager of Buildings and Grounds. She handles the budget and stuff like that. She was the 1984 Carson High School Rodeo Queen. She is married and has two kids: Michelle (19) graduated with honors and is now attending Saint Mary’s College in Moraga California. She is working towards a degree in Chemistry. She is all but a straight A student while participating on the Crew (rowing) team. Trevor (16) and a sophomore in high school, he is 6’3” and plays football and is leaning towards a career as a mechanic. He is learning to play the guitar with me and his Uncle Delbert. My son Delbert (37) went to Devry College in Chicago and is a computer programmer for the State of Nevada at the Department of Taxation. He played football in Pop Warner and all through high school. He has coached Pop Warner football for eight years, six of which he has been the head coach. COMMENT: Not to bad for a guy that couldn’t spell “wet” in Mrs. Chew’s class. Now I’m famous for making bird houses, but that’s another story.
