Posted a couple of the photos  on my website.  Visit and leave me a Tucumcari message!

I have spent the greater part of the past year on the road with my husband, Bill, in our RV.  It was always reassuring to sign on to our THS Web Site.  Home was never very far away, even when we were in Newfoundland!  Louis Abeyta has added some great touches to our site and how about all that music!  I urge everyone to stay in touch.  2012 is not that far off.

Just received my copy of The Rattler Reunion Paper.  What great memories the pictures, articles, etc brought back of our wonderful 50th reunion last year.  Looks like the Class of 1958 is well on their way to a wonderful reunion this year, too.

I hope that those who can will be in Tucumcari for the upcoming reunion.  And that those who can not be there in person, will be there in spirit.

Be sure to sign the guest book and let us know you have dropped by.

Thanks to Louis for the great new patriotic look of our website.  It is remind us of what a great country we live in.

It has been our pleasure to receive many notes from our classmates over the past year and a half.  Can you believe we are on the verge of our 51st year and reunion.  We urge classmates to make every effort to attend the annual Tucumcari Rattler Reunion each August.  The best definition of "Reunion" will be the happy result.  Greetings to all our classmates!

Comments: Feeling nostalgic these days, I suppose. Searched for your 1957 site this evening (you have a very professional and easy to navigate website!) and thoroughly enjoyed viewing the messages and the photos.

Would you believe - I recognize so many of you 'kids' as I flipped through the reunion photo slideshows.

Thank you so much for maintaining these Tucumcari pages; it brings back so many memories and it amazes me how many people I recognize (Trish Bowen comes to mind).

It so good that you share the pictures and the memories . . .

Happy New Year! ! !

The website committee hopes that all our classmates, friends and family enjoy a wonderful new year.

We have been working hard and now have all the photos from the 50th Reunion uploaded and most of the people in them identifed.  But, time has taken its toll and the memory is not all it once was so that there are some familiar faces we were not able to identify . . or that we may have mis-identified.  If you know any of the missing names or mis-identifed  people, please send us an email with the corrections.  Be sure to include which Photo Album and the number of the photo so we make the corrections to the right one.  Note: we have not added names to the larger group photos as there is not space to list everyone.

If you have any suggestions or comments about what you would like to see on the website, please send them on to us.  We have been working on up-dating the wetbsite since the 50th reunion has taken place.   Please be sure to sign our Guest Book so we know who is stopping by to visit.  Thanks.

I've been coming back - again and again- to your Class of 1957 site. The memories of high school in the 1950s resonate - I think - in a Very Special Way. I remember my Tucumcari childhood as being so uncomplicated. So indestructible. Playing Kick the Can in the backyard alley with Harold Harrison and Harrison Bell (where are they now?) Do kids even play Kick the Can now? I doubt it. Watching my grandchildren with their IPods and Xboxes and the ease with which they navigate the internet - totally amazes me (in a way). Although I left Tucumcari in 1953 (three years before I would have graduated with the Class of 1956), these were probably my formative years. And the memories of the 1950s are especially sweet. I am thankful for my Tucumcari 'ties.' The friends in Tucumcari are my Forever Friends. I look forward to seeing more photos of the Class of 1957 and ALL of the Tucumcari friends! Thank you for sharing your class photos and memories and bios. I have enjjoyed it! Hope Coslett Pees

The Class of '57's Reunion has had a great impact upon my life. I constantly have "reruns" in my memory of all of the events and classmates I enjoyed in August. This is a time machine resurrecting so many memories from my growing up in Tucumcari almost as if it was yesterday. It has been a joy to reconnect. To realize that our Web Site will perpetuate this Reunion for many more years is especially satisfying. Please do not fail to keep in touch by updating your bio and mailing us all the photos you have, old and new. Thank you so much for your contributions!

Well, we were there and what a wonderful time we had and were so impressed with the number of"57" classmates that attended. It was so great and I still say your website has been the most interesting for me. I have literally spent hours and hours reading all of the items that everyone has sent in and enjoyed every moment of it. It was so great to see everyone and again what a great job you guys did, loved all of the neat items, such as your shirts, name tags, etc. I just hope that we can do just half the job that ya'll did . Again, my hats off to all of you for the great job. Please come next year for our "50th" and we will try to make it memorable, as well. I hope to hear from a some the "57" classmates, and if anyone is ever on I-40 east of Oklahoma City, we have our business in Shawnee, Oklahoma and would love to see anyone that can stop and see us. Look up our website www.mcspaddenbookbindery.com See ya next August!!!!!

The Rattler Reunion Paper just arrived and stirred lots of great memories - and whetted the appitite for the grand adventures to come at this year's reunion. Hope all of you are getting ready to pack your bags to attend the Class of 1957's "Big 50th" Reunion in a couple of weeks. All the committees have been busy as can be getting everything ready for this big event. The Class of 1957 is very honored to have as their special guests several of our teachers: Dr. Paul Mansur, Barry Miller, Sue Tucek, & Dr. George Umberson. We have been so pleased to hear from so many of you via email, mail, phone calls, etc. Please do leave a message here when you visit as we would like to know who is dropping in to visit. If you would like to reminisce about the "good old days" or let everyone know what is happening in your life nowdays - be sure to go to the Message Board and leave a message there. It is so great to hear via RSVP and/or pre-registrations from those who are planning on attending the "BIG 5-0". Please do RSVP, if you have not done so already. The Class of 1957 50th anniversary committee is working very hard to make this a very memorable reunion. The Detail of Events Calendar has been up-dated to reflect the most up-to-date information on the Reunion and the planned activites for the Class of 1957. We want to extend a great big THANK YOU to Norma Jean Cruellin for keeping us to up-to-date on details of the reunion and answering many of our questions about how, when and where. Our hats are off to the Rattler Reunion Committee that puts in so many volunteer hours to make the annual Rattler Reunion the success it is.

Fellow classmates: Just wanted to remind you this is truly your web site. You can contribute anything of interest. John Lawson and Patsy Johnston have links to their own web site for example. If you have a web site of your own or even one that you think might be of interest to us, go ahead and send me the URL and a preference of where you'd like it placed. Some of you have sent in photos and thats always of great interest. Patsy Johnston just submitted an interesting nostalgic look at the "good ol" days. Go to the Home Page and scroll toward the bottom. You'll see a link there to see and listen to an interesting look at how things have changed. If you have a "family generation" recipe you'd like to share, send us those. You probably have already seen the link to my "World Famous" salsa recipes. We can also publish yours in the same way. Just some ideas for you to think about. This is truly a dynamic web site and the best part is that we (Rossanna, Kay, and I) are in complete (100%) control of its content and upkeep. Louis Abeyta
